GoZovia ("we", "us") offers psychology, Ayurvedic lifestyle guidance, yoga and wellness support and partner homestays. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.
The organisation responsible for your data (the "data fiduciary") is GoZovia, No. 1/376, G. No. 112/4A, GoZovia Homestay, Kothur, Haleseebam, Ayaranapalli, Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu 635119, India.
1. What we collect
- Contact details: your name and mobile number.
- Booking details: who the consultation is for, a child's age (if relevant), a short description of what you would like help with, and whether you prefer to meet online or in person.
- Messages: what you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email.
- Care records: if you go on to work with one of our practitioners, the notes, assessments and plans they keep as part of your care.
- Chat with Veda: what you type to Veda, our AI chat assistant, so that Veda can reply. GoZovia does not save these conversations, and we ask you not to share names, phone numbers or other identifying details in the chat.
- Website data: basic, anonymous information about how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited). We do not use advertising cookies.
Some of this, such as information about mental or physical health, is sensitive. We collect only what we need, and we treat all of it as confidential.
2. Why we use it
- To reply to your request and arrange your consultation.
- To provide care, keep accurate records and follow up as agreed with you.
- To keep you and others safe, and to meet our legal and professional duties.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Your consent
We use your data on the basis of the consent you give when you send a booking request or contact us. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to the contact below. If you withdraw it, we will stop using your data for that purpose, except where the law requires us to keep it. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before.
4. Children and young people
For anyone under 18, we need the consent of a parent or lawful guardian before we process their data, and a parent or guardian joins the first conversation. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children without that consent. We do not track children's behaviour or use their data for advertising.
5. Confidentiality
What you share in sessions stays between you and your practitioner. We share it only with your consent, or where the law requires it, or where there is a serious risk to someone's life or safety. Our psychologists follow the confidentiality duties of the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 and their professional codes.
6. Who we share it with
- The GoZovia practitioners involved in your care.
- Service providers who help us run our work, such as WhatsApp (Meta), our website host and our email provider. They may only use your data to provide their service to us. Some of them may store data outside India, as the law allows.
- Anthropic, the AI provider that powers Veda, which receives chat messages only to write Veda's replies and may process them outside India.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to.
7. How long we keep it
We keep booking enquiries that do not lead to care for up to 3 months. We keep care records for 6 months after your last session, or longer where the law or professional guidelines require. After that, we delete or anonymise them.
8. How we protect it
We use reasonable security measures, such as limited access, passwords and encrypted messaging. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
9. Your rights
- Ask for a summary of the data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your data.
- Withdraw your consent.
